George links to the fountain square in
the Institution's neighborhood and quickly scurries down
to Grizz's D'ni Interior Supply Company.
"Hello!"
he squeeks. "Anybody home! I've got a STAT order for
Team Bahro."
Unfortunately, he wakes up Veronica
who stumbles out half asleep to mind the counter...and
she doesn't understand squee. The girl backs away from
the, to her, intimidating animal, her eyes wide with
fear.
"Nice mousey. Good mousey. Please don't eat
me."
"What?!" squeeks George, making Veronica
jump and look around for a safe place to bolt. "Oh heek!
Where's a Babel fish when you need
one?"
When Grizz gets
control of himself, he gets up off the floor, tells
Veronica that everything is okay, and that he'll explain
about George later. He pushes her back through the door,
closes it, and turns to George.
"Hi George. What
can I do for
ya?"

Grizzes eyebrows rise more and more as
he reads the list. Then he taps the paper thoughtfully.
He looks at George.
"I can give you all of these
things but one. I'm sorry, but I don't have the key to
the city. They never got around to giving me that. This
is gonna take a little time to collect. Some of this
stuff is down in sub-level 3. I'm sure Cordy here would
pour you a cup of coffee and give you a Fig
Newton...ummm...maybe a whole package of Fig Newtons.
You're still a growing Squee, ain'tcha?" "Be back in a little
while."

D'ni Cavern Supply "If we don't have it, you don't

Shrugs at Grizz's question. "Heeked if I
know. I assume they do, but Shiloh wanted something
organic and very-very rotten. If you can't find
keanulint eggs, maybe they'll do."
George then
finds a convenient crate to sit on as he thoughtfully
munches a fig newton.
"It's a shame Grizz doesn't
have the key to the city. She didn't tell me exactly
what she wanted it for. I wonder if I can find a
substitute somewhere."
He turns to Cordelia who
is pouring coffee. "What do you think? What would be a
good stand-in for a key to the
city?"
Grizz returns (sooner than expected)
with several shopping bags full of items. He places them
at George's feet.
"There you are George. Oh, and
by the way, (taking a large box from under one arm) I
found this. It isn't exactly a key to the city, but
maybe it would do.

George hefts the bags of supplies and
carefully examines the four-foot-long, metal
key.
"Maybe this is close enough. I'll see what
Shiloh says. Thanks loads, Grizz. How much do we owe
you?"
George catches sight of Veronica who is
peeping fearfully around a shelf. Unable to resist, he
takes a deep breath and trills as loud as he can,
puffing his ear membranes to their fullest extent.
Veronica screams and runs for the back
room.
George gathers all his things into one
big pack on his back, preparing to link back to the
A&C. "Well, I'm off to fight the Forces of Evil
again. Though, I tell you, this job needs better
benefits."
He smiles down at the laughing gnome.
"Care to join me? There's always a demand for heros with
a sense of humor."
RW began running around the area near
the fountain, screaming as he tries to get the ferret
off of his shoulder. Suddenly, he is sidetackled by a
blue 'thing' and falls into the fountain with the ferret
and blue thing. The scientist looks down in the pile
in wonder. Well, at least this thing that scared him was
human... he thought. Speedy got out of the
fountain. "Oh geez, Grassie! It's only RW! Why did
you have the raise the alarm?" Speedy moaned as she
tried to dry herself. Grassie came up from underwater
and spat out the excess water in his mouth. "Opp!
Sorry RW... I saw a shadow outside one of the windows. I
hope I didn't bite you too deep..." Grassie said as his
face turned a little red. "No, I think I'll live," RW
said. "And who are you?" asked Dr. Warrell. "I'm
rohnerw, RW for short. You?" asked RW. "I'm Dr.
Warrell," "From MIT," Speedy whispered. "Well, now
before the big interruption, Speedy and I found
something rather cool inside! Come on, you two, and help
us solve it!" Grassie said as he jumped out of the
fountain. "Solve what?" asked Dr. Warrell. "A
puzzle, of course!" Speedy said as she pulled Dr.
Warrell's arm to make him follow her. "Umm... a
little help here... I seem to be stuck," said
RW. "Oh, sorry," Speedy said as she came back and
pulled RW out of the fountain. Now, the group of a
ferret, a blue bird, a scientist, and an explorer
entered one of the dark buildings...

I am learning how to be corrupt.
Looking down he realized he was
actually on the roof of the Eggroom...
With a
deep sigh he carefully climbs down with his box of
supplies walks in.
He adds a set of
mugs, Then some coasters, Finally adding in all off the baked goods,
freshening up the coffee and cleaning up the stuff
that's a little stale. "Perfect" He then links
out.
Veronica opens the door an inch and
peeks out. Whispering in terror she asks, "Is it gone?"
Not seeing the giant in the vicinity or anyone else for
that matter, she pokes her head further out and scans
the area. "Hello? Mr. Giant Rat? Yoo-hooo...." Leaving
the relative safety of the breakroom, she runs for the
front door and slams it shut behind her, gasping for
air. Slowly her breathing returns to normal and rather
than take the chance of going back inside she decides to
take a look around the neighborhood. (It was really too
bad that she wasn't around when the "speeches" were
given and Grizz never did explain the "rules" to
her.)
